Town Care Clinic provides in-person assessment for international students with many stable, non-life-threatening concerns. Eligible Guard.me charges may be submitted directly after the clinic verifies the available policy information. Coverage remains subject to the policy and Guard.me’s approval.

How Guard.me direct billing works
Direct billing means the clinic submits an eligible charge to Guard.me instead of automatically collecting the full amount from the patient. It does not guarantee payment. The policy must be active, the service must qualify and all required claim information must be complete.
If direct billing cannot be completed or Guard.me declines part of a claim, the patient is responsible for the balance. Keep itemized receipts, prescriptions and any medical documents provided at the visit. Guard.me allows members to review coverage and submit claims through My Account.
Guard.me recommends calling a clinic before visiting to confirm whether it can bill directly. Review its current medical-care guidance and your own policy wording for benefits and exclusions.
For Centennial College international students
Centennial College provides Guard.me coverage to registered international students under its mandatory international-student insurance program. Town Care Clinic is located near Scarborough Town Centre and can be reached from Progress Campus and other Scarborough locations.
Coverage dates and benefits vary. A Centennial student should use the policy information in their Guard.me account rather than relying on another student’s experience or an older policy document.
What your visit may include
The clinician will review the immediate concern, medical history, allergies and current medication. The plan may include home-care guidance, a prescription, testing, follow-up or referral when clinically appropriate.
Outside laboratory, imaging, specialist, ambulance and hospital services are separate and may have their own billing process. Contact Guard.me when coverage or authorization is unclear.
